My homecoming to the Rotary Club of Bangkok (Thurs. 7-11-2013)

After being absent for a year, during which I had been active in the newly set up 'yRator Club' and visiting dozens of Thai-speaking clubs, now it's time to return home when 'The yRator Club' has its new president.

Today coincides with my 25th wedding anniversary and my daughter's birthday.

To make up for the lost days at Rotary Club of Bangkok, I donated $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation inaddition to being a Major Donor.

My guest from the Princess Mother Foundation briefed our members about the fundraising for nursing students at 26 colleges that bear the name of the late Princess Mother. We donated $2,100 for 2 scholarships as we do it annually.

FYI: There is a school outside the seaside resort town of Hua Hin that bears the name 'Rotary Club of Bangkok' for over 4 decades. It was a rural school operated by Border Patrol Police in the Communist-infested areas. The late Princess Mother asked our late president Dr. Kulthol Sundaravej for the Rotary Club of Bangkok to adopt the school.

Though it has been under the Ministry  of Education for 2 decades, we annually provide the school children with annual scholarships and school improvement needs.
